The mare “Sarieeh Alfalah,” belonging to the Al Khail Stables and owned and bred by Mohamed Obaid Al Khayyal, proudly raised the UAE flag high in the Polish capital, Warsaw. She demonstrated her excellence by outperforming her female and male competitors in the Wathba Stallions Cup for purebred Arabian horses, held at Sluzewiec Racetrack on Sunday, 6th August 2023, as part of the 15th edition of HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s Festival of Races.
The race, which featured seven purebred Arabian horses aged only three years, had a prize of 5000 euros. “Sarieeh Alfalah,” a three-year-old mare descended from “AF Al Buraq” and “Fulana,” led by the jockey A.Turgaev and trained by C.Fraisl, triumphed with a margin of 1.25 lengths in the 2000-meter race, recording a time of 2:19:90 minutes.
In the second place was the horse “Kalice de Carrere,” owned by Anwar Salim Ali Al-Mahri, ridden by A.Reznikov, and trained by C.Fraisl. The third place went to “Maximus,” ridden by B.Kalysbek and trained by T.Rucinski.
The festival also included the Jewel Crown, Zayed Cup, Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Cup, “Wathba Stallions” Cup, and the International Meeting for Purebred Arabian Horse Races.
The festival, which started its new edition on January 11th of the previous year, added new races for the 2023 season, featuring 152 local and international races, including races promoted to the first, second, and third categories.
