“Abahi” by Khaled Khalifa Al Naboodah, trained by Ernst Ortel, and led by Taj Auchi, wins the tenth round of the Al Wathba Stallions Cup, which was held on Sunday 14 February, 2021 at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, under the auspices of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Racing Festival.
The Wathba Stallions Cup races series is held under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, to promote purebred Arabian horses and increase the interest of owners and breeders in them on the local and international arenas.
The race was marked by excitement and suspense after the front-runners entered into a fierce struggle to win the title before “Abahi” was able to clinch the title in his favor, with a difference of 0.5 length from “Vertel de Croat”, recording 2:31:88 minutes.

After the end of the game, Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, President of the Emirates Equestrian Federation, and Lara Sawaya, Executive Director of the Festival, accompanied by Ali Al Mulla, Chairman of Areej Al Amirat, presented the prizes to the winners.
The HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Horse Racing Festival is sustained by the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture & Tourism coordinated by Abu Dhabi Sports Council, with National Feed and Flour Production and Marketing Co.
