The Hippodrome Waregem, located in Waregem, a municipality located in the Belgian province of West Flanders will play host to the HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Apprentice World Championship race on Sunday, June 2, 2019.

The race is the fourth in this year’s HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Apprentice World Championship which is being held as part of the HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival.

Seven Apprentice jockeys from around the world will vie in Sunday’s race for a spot in the November 24 final of the championship to be held in Abu Dhabi.

The 2120-metre race carries a prize fund of Euros 10,000 and is expected to attract a large gathering at the Hippodrome Waregem.

Hungarian Apprentice jockey will ride BEUNE DE L´ARDUS, one of the favourites while Norway’s Silja Storen will be on AL FAHL.

BLITTERS PACO will be ridden by Erac Eracleous of Cyprus while Italian Sara Del Fabbro will ride El Zarka. ZIGGY D.A will be partnered by Poland’s Konrad Mazur and Denmark’s Liam Doran will ride JAMAS D.A. The seventh runner in the small field is CALITRI D.A. and will be ridden by UK’s Grace McEntee.
