Abu Dhabi welcomes officials, guests from Arabian racing fraternity

After the unique draw for the HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak World Championships of both Ladies and Apprentices races, which also saw two live horses inside the hall at the Eastern Mangroves Anantara, Abu Dhabi-the ‘World Capital of Purebred Arabian Racing’ – is busy welcoming the over 800 guests for the ‘One World, 6 Continents’ extravaganza which extends up to November 9.

Racing officials, lady, amateur, apprentice and professional jockeys, trainers, owners, endurance riders, media persons and other members of the Purebred Arabian racing fraternity from 56 countries will be attending the action which starts from tomorrow, November 6.

Ms Lara Sawaya, Executive Director of the HH Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival and Chairman of Ladies Racing Committee in the International Federation of Arabian Horse Racing Authorities (IFAHR) and Chairman of Apprentice Jockeys & Racing in IFAHR said, “Yesterday’s draws for the HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak World Championships of both Ladies and Apprentices races was beamed live on TV and was also live on the web and was watched by followers and fans of the HH Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival all over the world.”

“While most of the guests are already in, the remaining will be in time for tomorrow’s opening event, a Camel race at the Al Wathba Camel racetracks

between 2.00 pm and 4.00 pm. That will be followed by a Press Conference at 5.00 pm and then a Welcoming Dinner at the Emirates International Endurance Village in Al Wathba,” Ms Sawaya said.

On November 7 and 8, some of the finest brains in the racing industry will share their experiences as the HH Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival reiterates the importance or jockeys with the HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Conference for Education and
Training.

On November 9 the final races of the Festival’s HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Ladies World Championship IFAHR series, HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Apprentice World Championship (IFAHR) series will be held along with the Festival’s Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Cup and the Wathba Stud Farm Cup.
