The Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club will on Sunday host its second meeting of the season featuring five races for purebred Arabians and one for thoroughbreds.
The feature race of the day is the National Day Cup Prep for thoroughbreds which has attracted 15 runners.
The Dhruba Selvaratnam-trained Yasodd, who finished sixth in the HH The President Cup (Listed Race) last season, looks the pick of the runners.
Eight runners go to post in the 2,200-metre handicap for purebred Arabians sponsored by Saddiyat, with Bakhit Al Ketbi’s GRP Baghdad looking like the one they will all have to beat.
The six-year-old son of Tahar De Candelon won twice at this course last season and should carry that form forward.
