The UAE’s Bakhit Al Ketbi emerged as leading trainer and joint leading owner in the HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Flat Racing Festival race series after the 10th and final race was held here on Sunday.
Sunday’s final race was won by the Mahmood Hussain-trained AF Raad with jockey Tadhg O’Shea scoring an easy win by over seven lengths from Shama, ridden by Royston Ffrench.
Later, after this prestigious third race, winning connections and members of the media were honoured.
The following were given awards: Best Owner: Abdul Basit Al Yaqub and Bakhit Al Ketbi; Best Trainer: Bakhit Al Ketbi; Best Jockey: Wayne Smith; Best Breeder: Khalid Khalifa Al Nabooda.
Abdullah Al Qubeisi of ADACH, said, “We are delighted that the Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Flat Racing Festival races held here in Abu Dhabi was a huge hit among the local owners and trainers.”
